One of the things that I just love about sailing is the people you meet. We have really enjoyed meeting Roger and Susanne, who sold Lulu to us. We hope to see them again later this summer, so we might just have more sailing pictures together. They have been just wonderful about helping us with getting the boat in order, fixing paperwork and sharing their weekend time with us. Also Rauno who bought Ocean Queen, really friendly and a new sailing friend. During our trip so far, we have met friendly flight attendants on Finnair, welcoming taxi drivers and helpful retail personnel in Jakobstad; and been given 5-star service at the guest harbor in Holmsund outside Umeå. The members of the local sailing club have been amazingly helpful and friendly to their pre-season guests. It is these meetings that make sailing extra special. Thank you everyone! We sailed 16 hours on Monday crossing from Jakobstad to Umeå, cold and rolly and oh so wonderful on Lulu. We just love Lulu, wow – what a boat!
